Family Day 2012

Four years ago today, Jess and Evelyn became our son and daughter. We decided to spend our family anniversary (and our 4th of July) at a cabin in Mark Twain State Park.
Our little cabin sat next to a very small (and oddly blue) pond
Even Abby joined us on this family outing. Jess took her on a morning walk.

Pancake Breakfast

There were three kittens present at all times... I don't know why they kept hanging around since they were manhandled constantly.

A river nearby to splash in--nice since it was 100 degrees!

Reading in the hammock...

They fished a bit...nothing biting (too hot!)

For dinner, our favorite Kazak dishes: Shashlik (kabobs) and Plav
Red, white, and blue trifle!
Yay, paddle boating!

Even time for relaxing...
