Germany Retrospective

Our time in Germany was so chaotic we didn't really have much time to post pictures, or update the blog. Come to think of it, there was barely time to think. But it was, I'm pretty sure, a good trip overall (I can hardly remember--it all seems like a cold, rainy blur). Nevertheless, we've decided to wait till the kids are out of diapers (and cribs, and highchairs, etc. etc. etc.) before we attempt another month-long stay in Europe. Then again, by that standard, we qualify for another such trip next summer. Hmmmmm....I think the bar is set too low.

Truth be told--Jess and Evelyn were model travelers. We were really proud of them. They did as well as any toddler-people could be expected to do (indeed, better). Admittedly, the flight home was hellish (I'm not naming names, but I'll just say that a certain two-and-a-half year old boy had a very hard time sitting in his seat for 15 minutes straight much less 9+ hours). Aside from that, the rest of it remembers pretty darn well.

What follows is a Germany retrospective--the stuff that Brent didn't cover in the brief posts he did manage to write.
