Mom's Day in Germany!

Our time in Germany overlaps with lots of holidays, the first of which is Mother's Day.  Depending on how you count, this is either Susan's second or third Mother's Day celebration.  We had a fun day today.  We had crepes with strawberries and nutella for breakfast and played around the apartment in the morning.

Then, when the twins took a nap, Vicki and Marv came over and watched the grandkids while Susan and I hopped on a train to Frankfurt for the afternoon.  We had a fun time walking around the old town square (Romer Platz) and listening to music while we had a good german beers (dunkelweizen and helles).  It even stopped raining and the sun came out (something we haven't seen much of since we arrived).  Here are a few pics from the trip and our first week in Europe.

Awesome update, Brent! I love the picture of Jess and Evie w/ their little suitcases. Adorable. So glad you're having a good time and can't wait to hear all the stories first hand.
